TellyPrompter

Accessibility

Last updated 8 August 2026

TellyPrompter is for people who find reading aloud to a camera difficult. Accessibility is part of the reading experience, not a separate mode or a settings appendix.

Our target

We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the public site and the app.

This is a target, not a claim of current conformance. The complete product has not yet passed an independent accessibility audit, so we will not describe it as “WCAG compliant” until it has.

What the product does today

How we talk about this

Concrete reading support matters more than a badge. We will describe the behaviour we have tested—such as OpenDyslexic, explicit text direction and reduced motion—and keep conformance claims separate until the whole journey has earned them.

Known limits

Voice-following depends on speech-recognition support in your browser. If it is unavailable, TellyPrompter still works as a sound-following or steady-speed prompter. Camera and microphone behaviour also varies by browser and device.
