Refunds and cancellation

Thirty days, no questions
If Pro is not for you, write to SUPPORT@ within 30 days of paying and we will refund you in full. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one. This applies to the monthly plan, the yearly plan and the single payment alike.
This is our own policy and it is more generous than the law requires. It sits on top of your legal rights rather than replacing them.
Your legal right to cancel
As a consumer in the UK you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital services and get your money back.
Because TellyPrompter gives you Pro immediately when you pay, rather than after 14 days, that right works a little differently: by buying, you ask us to start the service straight away and acknowledge that you lose the automatic 14-day cancellation right once it has begun. Our 30-day policy above applies regardless, so in practice you are better off than the law requires, for longer.
UNRESOLVED The wording above must be matched by an explicit consent step at checkout to be effective. Stripe Payment Links support a terms-of-service acceptance checkbox and custom text; that must be switched on and worded to match, or this paragraph does not do what it says.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancel at any time — one click, no email required, no retention offer, no attempt to talk you out of it.
Cancelling does not cut you off. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then you lapse on your own. We do not claw back days you have bought.
What happens to your scripts
This is the part worth reading before you buy.
- When Pro ends, your synced library stays readable and exportable, permanently. You do not lose access to your own work.
- What you lose is the ability to add to the synced library. It becomes read-only.
- The Export button in your library downloads every script you have, as plain text, on any plan and with no account at all. Nothing is held hostage.
That is enforced in the database rather than being a promise in a document: the rule that grants read access deliberately does not check whether you have paid.
The single payment
The £99 option grants Pro for as long as we operate TellyPrompter. It is not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. The 30-day refund applies to it in the same way. See the Terms for what happens if the service is ever discontinued.

Write to SUPPORT@ — an address that receives mail. We answer refund requests within RESPONSE TIME — state one you can keep, and refunds reach your card within five to ten working days once issued, depending on your bank.
