What can I do free without an account?
Start without an account or card. On the free-first-session offer, your first complete session includes prompting, Ear Studio, recording, retakes, review and original downloads; Pro unlocks your next sessions. Existing Free users and visitors on the earlier offer keep their ongoing Free access. There is no timer or script-length limit within your free session, and recordings have no watermark. Browser support and microphone permission still apply.
Your free session or earlier Free access includes voice-following, sound-level and constant scrolling, mirror mode, rotation and display controls. Voice-following depends on the browser's speech recognition; availability and accuracy vary by browser, language and microphone. If recognition is unavailable, constant and sound-level scrolling remain options.
Ear Studio, voice commands, take review and original media downloads are included in your free session or earlier Free access. Script export remains available without paying. Supported local exports are included in the complete free first session; earlier Free offers include previews.
How many scripts can I save?
The Free library holds five scripts, including tagged scripts. Tagging does not remove that limit. At the limit, saving another script requires managing the existing library; the app does not automatically discard the oldest script to make room for a sixth.
You can use the local library without an account. A Free account can sync up to five scripts between devices. Pro provides an unlimited account script library and template sync. For current details, see the Free and Pro comparison.
What does Pro add?
Pro unlocks continued sessions on the free-first-session offer, prepared caption, marker and rough-cut exports, organised local handoff packages and export files in editor links. Supported local exports are also included in the complete free first session. Pro includes an unlimited account script library and personal-template sync. Export readiness depends on available timing and media. Review caption timing and text before using them; words improvised outside the script may need manual correction or a separate transcription step.
On the free-first-session offer, complete your first session free and continue with Pro. Existing Free users and visitors on the earlier offer keep their ongoing Free access. You can still review and download existing recordings without a watermark after finishing your session.

Are recordings uploaded?
Recordings start on your device. Uploading a recording to your account requires signing in and deliberately choosing Save to account. Free and Pro accounts currently have the same recording-storage allowance: 1 GB per account, with a 250 MB limit per recording. Pro does not increase that allowance.
Script sync and recording uploads are separate from speech recognition. TellyPrompter uses the browser's recogniser rather than running its own speech-recognition service. Depending on your browser, speech recognition can process audio locally or through the browser vendor's service. Read the privacy explanation for the distinction.
What happens when I stop paying?
Your existing scripts and recordings remain accessible for review and download. On the free-first-session offer, starting another session requires Pro after you finish your complete free first session. Earlier Free access is preserved. Free account sync retains its five-script allowance. Existing shared links keep their promised expiry. Supported first-session local exports remain available for that existing work.
Can I use it offline?
Load and prepare the app while connected before relying on it at a location without internet. Offline prompting and recording depend on the app and required files being available on the device. Browser speech recognition may still need a connection. Signing in, syncing scripts and saving recordings to an account require network access.
Run a short rehearsal on the actual device and browser, with the intended connection state, before a shoot. This checks the part of the workflow that matters to you.
