What SpeakFlow is
SpeakFlow is a polished online teleprompter built around Flow, their voice-activated scrolling, with script writing and organisation built in and a strong collaboration layer on top. It works across Windows, Mac, iOS and Android through the browser, with a desktop app available, and using it starts with creating an account.
As published on 13 September 2026: the Free plan includes the teleprompter, auto scrolling, a limited version of Flow, script creation and formatting, and seven days of script history. Plus, at $15 a month billed once yearly, adds unlimited Flow, recording with one hour of video storage, an Overlay virtual teleprompter, bookmarks, voice commands, multi-device sync, AI writing tools, unlimited script history, commenting and real-time script collaboration, and API access. Studio, at $99 a month billed yearly, adds client workspaces for up to twenty-five members and ten hours of video storage. Monthly billing is available at higher rates on their monthly pricing view.
Where SpeakFlow wins
Collaboration is the real product. Real-time script collaboration, commenting, client workspaces, team membership — if scripts in your world are written by one person, approved by another and read by a third, SpeakFlow has built for that properly and TellyPrompter simply has not. TellyPrompter's library is one person's library.
The writing tools live inside it. AI writing assistance and revision history in the same place you prompt from is a genuine workflow convenience if you draft in the tool. TellyPrompter expects you to arrive with a script — from anywhere — and paste or import it.
Recording storage. SpeakFlow lists one hour of video storage on Plus and ten hours on Studio. TellyPrompter records locally by default; signed-in users can deliberately upload a recording with Save to account. Free and Pro accounts both have 1 GB of recording storage, with a 250 MB limit per recording. See the storage allowance and privacy explanation. An API. Plus includes API access. If you are wiring a prompter into a bigger system, that is a real door TellyPrompter does not have.
Where TellyPrompter differs
Start without an account. Start without an account or card. On the free-first-session offer, your first complete session includes prompting, Ear Studio, recording, retakes, review and original downloads; Pro unlocks your next sessions. Existing Free users and visitors on the earlier offer keep their ongoing Free access. There is no timer or script-length limit within your free session, and recordings have no watermark. Browser support and microphone permission still apply. Pro unlocks continued sessions on the free-first-session offer, prepared caption, marker and rough-cut exports, organised local handoff packages and export files in editor links. Supported local exports are also included in the complete free first session. Pro includes an unlimited account script library and personal-template sync. Offline preparation. Load and prepare TellyPrompter while connected before relying on it offline. Local prompting and recording depend on the required app files and scripts remaining available on the device; browser speech recognition may still need a connection. Signing in, syncing and Save to account need network access. Test a short take in the intended connection state on your actual device. See the offline guide. Where recognition runs. Voice-following uses your browser's speech recognition; TellyPrompter does not run its own speech-recognition service. The browser may process audio on the device or through its vendor's service. The honest limits, ours included
Voice-following in TellyPrompter depends on the browser's speech recognition, which Firefox does not provide — constant and sound-level modes work there — and recognition quality is the browser's, not ours, so it varies by platform, language and microphone. TellyPrompter is designed around individual recording and review rather than collaborative script workspaces or an API. Optional account recording storage is available on both Free and Pro.
How to choose
Choose SpeakFlow if scripts are a team sport in your work — collaborators, clients, comments, approvals — or if you want writing tools, cloud-stored recordings and an API in the same subscription.
Choose TellyPrompter if you are one person recording yourself and want to try voice-following without an account, with offline preparation, take review and read-times.
